The open living and dining area under a beamed cathedral ceiling in stained wood
Remodeled top to bottom · 2026

A mid-century modern luxury home worth staying in.

Beamed cathedral ceilings, a chef's kitchen and a private fenced yard — thirty minutes from Orlando, in the one part of Florida that has hills.

Clean lines and low horizons — with nothing in it older than the renovation.

Three bedrooms, two bathrooms and the whole house to yourselves — set on a quiet street a few blocks above the water, minutes from downtown Clermont and half an hour from the Orlando parks.

The remodel

Down to the studs, then back up: new kitchen, new baths, new systems, refinished floors. The architecture is original. Nothing else is.

The bones are mid-century. Everything else is new.

The house was stripped and rebuilt — not refreshed, not staged. What stayed is what makes it worth having: the cathedral ceiling in stained wood with its white beams, the clerestory windows that light the room all afternoon, the painted block walls and the tile fireplace. Everything else is new.

What that means as a guest: a kitchen that works like your own, a shower with real pressure, air conditioning that keeps up with August, and wifi that holds a video call from any room.

Three bedrooms. Six people. Everyone sleeps well.

Every room has its own television, dresser and nightstands. Linens and toiletries are stocked before you arrive.

Clermont

Florida, with hills.

Clermont sits on the Lake Wales Ridge, a spine of high ground that makes this one of the only genuinely hilly places in Central Florida. That single geographic accident is why Olympians train here, why the road cycling is the best in the state, and why the town calls itself the Choice of Champions.

The rest of it is water. Eleven connected lakes, trophy bass, and a waterfront park that runs on festivals. You are staying in the middle of it — and the theme parks are still only half an hour away when you want them.

30+Miles of paved trail

Ride the hills

The South Lake Trail links straight into the West Orange Trail for a continuous paved run, and the surrounding roads deliver the only serious elevation in peninsular Florida. Sugarloaf Mountain — the high point of the peninsula — is a short drive and a legendary set of intervals. Clermont has been named Florida's Bicycle-Friendly Community of the Year. Bring the bikes; there's room to park them.

8,600Acres of lake

Fish the chain

The Clermont Chain of Lakes runs to eleven connected lakes and is known statewide for trophy largemouth bass — four to seven pounds is an ordinary day, and double-digit fish come out every year. Crappie, bluegill, shellcracker and channel cat round out the card. The main public ramp is at the downtown waterfront; there's a second ramp south by Lake Louisa.

4,372Acres of state park

Walk, paddle, ride

Lake Louisa State Park sits minutes south — six lakes, rolling terrain, a swim beach, hiking, and more than fifteen miles of horse trails. Paddling is the real draw: quiet, tea-dark water and narrow cypress channels, with no gas motors permitted on the park lakes. Kayak and bike rentals are available in town.

300Acre training centre

Train like a pro

The National Training Center is open to the public, not just to the Olympic athletes and national teams who camp here. Olympic-size outdoor pool, track, velodrome and gym. Lake Minneola gives you year-round open-water swimming with no tides and no salt — which is why the town hosts triathlons more or less continuously.
